Z2 update failed

Hello.

I have a problem with my Xperia Z2. I tried to make the update of my device but my computer shutdowned during that.

When I turn on my phone, i have this message "The software updated failed.Make sur that your phone is connected to the computer and try again".

The computer doesn't recognize the phone and the phone shut down after this message.

What can I do? 😕

Well....That means like 1 Month without Smartphone -.-

Maybe they can update on the same day if the device is not defective.

The advice that Alexdon gave actually works if you can get the download link:

1.Make sure you charge the phone for at least 2 hours

2.After charging,force it to turn off:

3.Do not turn it on,open SUS and follow the on screen instructions repair:

Now that is insulting Alexdon...

Logically anyone who has had this problem has been using PC companion...  

PC Companion on three pc's i have tested does not pic up any phone in DFU mode, or i think it is called fast boot in android..

I posted the sollution because i had to find an alternative to PC companion that does pick up the phone, as i do not want to root it or loose anything on the phone.

Sony update service will be dropped,there is a possibility it won't work anymore.That is why I said use PC companion instead if SUS does not work.But as you said,it does have a lower working rate.And no,I wasn't insulting.

My Z2 is back to life.

I did it using PC Companion. I charged the phone and started the process from the beginning and the program guided me through the right way.

When you click "start" under "Phone software update" and click on the repair phone link, the program will ask you to press and hold volume button (I can't remember which one) and the Power key. Then you just need to wait.
