Z2 tablet WiFi 32gb battery draining even when plugged into the mains

Hello all,

I recently purchased a Z2 tablet, which I'm extremely happy with. I use it all day to listen to music whilst I work and browse the Internet, email etc. This is all done on battery. The battery life I get is fantastic considering the amount I'm using it.

There is a problem however, the battery seems to drain at the same speed if my tablet is plugged into the mains and will only charge if I turn the device off.

This is fairly inconvenient if I want to continue using my tablet but have a full charge for the next day. Any advice or tweeks would be great.

P.s. I am using the Sony USB lead and charger head that came in the box with the tablet

Hi!

That's not a normal behaviour. 

Could you do the following steps:

1. With the battery level below 50% connect the tablet to the supplied charger.

2. Make sure the led is orange 

3. Leave the tablet for one hour

4. After that head into Settings / Power / Battery usage (the last option with graph and list of percentages) 

5. Take the screenshot. (use long press on power button and select take a screenshot or simultaneously press power and volume up)

6. Post it here

Normally battery would charge even while playing games (considerably slower). The only time I found battery is discharging with charger connected is with MHL or faulty cable.
