turn off auto-capitalize?

Hi,

Is there any option to turn off auto-capitalization in the stock 'international keyboard'?

I've searched through the settings... can't find it.

I've tried several apps from the market, but the stock keyboard works best with the hardware keyboard in the mini pro (e.g. settings, symbols keys).

Thanks a lot for any suggestions!

I'm afraid there are no settings which you can use to change this on the handset completely. You'd need to use the blue square on the hardware keyboard each time you wanted the letter to be lowercase.

If you've already tried third party keyboard applications, have you tried using any different messaging apps to see if this helps at all?

Thanks for your answer.

That's too bad, I hope this option will be given in the next update?

I haven't really tried any different messaging apps... but I would be glad to have this option when writing SMS and emails, for e-mails I've tried stock mail app and K-9.

I've been googling this problem and saw this post from 2012.

I have the same problem and was wondering if this is going to be fixed in any of the later updates?

I have a Sony Xperia M

I've just switched to Xperia Z1 from a previous Samsung phone and I've found the Sony software really lacking and confusing.

The keyboard has very few options: It's impossible to disable the auto capitalize and sometimes (after spacebar is pressed?) a point character is typed in and I have to manually delete it every time. Did you find a good replacement keyboard to install?
Thank you, bye!

HI Brother. SOny is really **bleep** stupid and just to reply to your post I had to go through registration alias and so many things... But anyways. On contrary I wanted to turn on auto capitalization on my phone after updating android.

You have more language options I selected English-India (which is quiet weird) and it was not capitalizing my letters as it should. So alternatively you can choose one of those languages an it should resolve your issue.

Cheers !
