Z2 on verizon

Hey guys, looking for a little help. I was wondering if anyone else has the Z2 tablet from Verizon and have gotten an update for 4.4.4. I got it for the remote play feature and out of the box it is 4.4.2 and when I try OTA or the sony pc program it says it is up to date. Am I missing something?

Contact Verizon as its up to them to approve and release the update not Sony

I got it for the same reason, was told my sales people at Verizon it would be able to do this feature.  Obviously it doesnt as it needs the 4.4.4 update.

I contacted Verizon, they said the update has been released to them, but they cant tell me a time frame as to when it will be implemented and released to the customers.

So it could be days...could be months.

Kind of disappointing.

As long as it's coming I can be patient but yes I am beyond disappointed that it wasn't available when everyone else got it. The worst part for me was I didn't get that answer from Verizon, I acutally got no feasible answer from either Verizon or Sony which is what lead me here. Maybe I just wasn't persistent enough

Operator is the only one who can approve or reject update for certain revision of firmware. Maybe they decided (I don't know) to skip updates till Android 5.0. I would push them harder. They will do something only if their customers will force them to do it.

I have spoken to Verizon multiple times and they told me that Sony is the Manufacturer and they have not provided 4.4.4.  All i see here is a blame game.  One of these companies needs to step up and fix this issue.  I don't think we should have to wait for an android version that has been out for a month on other Z2 tablets.  I filed a complaint with BBB which will probably do nothing but at least its something.
