Hi Everyone,
I've had my Z2 for 2 months. Battery was dead within a day, had to send it back. Couple of weeks later the backing glass broke out of nowhere (seems to be rather common, changed myself for $10). And now, as of yesterday, my cameras won't work. The rear camera has no visual feed whatsoever and gets extremely hot while I'm troubleshooting. When I swap to the front camera it is awfully slow in doing so. As for the picture, it has static multi-coloured vertical lines throughout it. After about 30 secs of playing with the front camera the app will close without any reasoning. I have done a repair through Sony companion with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Zack
That seems to be a hardware issue, perhaps due to a drop, contact your local Xperia care and get it inspected
Hi,
It seems like a hardware issue to me too. However, there are no drops to speak of though, the phone is in immaculate condition. This occured while I was at uni, so I had my phone on me all day.
Hi,
I have spoken to the support online. They mentioned the warranty will be void as I have changed the backing. They will not touch the phone until they have firstly replaced this back to original warranty state, and then they will diagnose the further issue. They will provide me a quote athough if I decline I will still have to pay for the assesment. I see the whole thing costing me more than a new Z2 (which I don't have the money for).
Cheers,
Zack
@Bearings
Virgin Mobile Australia. It was replaced by the looks of it after I sent it back with the battery issue, so I'm unsure if it's a refurb now.
