Z1C Twitter contacts integration?

Try as I might, I can't seem to get Twitter contacts to show up in Sony's Contacts app. Both Twitter and Xperia with Twitter are autosynced, but Twitter doesn't appear as a Filter option in Contacts. Also the Show Status Updates in the Contacts settings is greyed out.

Anyone else having this problem?

So am I the only one having this problem? Or can Twitter contacts not be integrated into the Contacts app at all?
