I jumped into pool while the pgone was recording, before that i checked all the flaps and double-checked, and they were all sealed.
so i jumped in and the phone was fine. got out and started recording again (phone ws still fine) then i left it on a table, came back after around 10 mins. and lo and behold the phone was off and wont turn on .
i removed everything. sim nd micro sd. and saw some water on the sim, but why??
i checked and double checked all the flaps.
after that i put the phone in a bag of rice and left it for a day. after that i charged it and the LED flashed red, then blinked blue. then red again.
what do i do?
the red LED blinking then 3 Vibrations doesnt happen anymore. so i think its not the water anymore.
Contact your local Xperia Care and request a vacuum test
Thanks for the rather Fast reply. but now my phone is connected to my laptop and the LED just keeps blinking blue.
what is happening?
Hard to tell, you should let it dry longer, and get in contact with your local Xperia care.
is There anything i can do Other than going to them?
at this point no, unless you want to open your phone but that will void your warranty.
what if i had it rooted?
and the phone is just given to me by my cousin from abroad. no records, no box, no reciepts. no nothing.
does vacuum testing it requires any records?
There's only warranty on the country it was purchased, let say that your cousin bought it in Canada but you are in the USA, you won't have warranty in the USA, with that said you should contact your local Xperia Care regarding which documents are needed to get it checked
ok
thanks!!
