Z1 lollipop update: call receiving problem

i updated to lollipop yesterday. i love the sony UI.

There just one small problem.... when ever someone calls me, if my phone is locked, ive to open the lock first and then answer the call. As in kitkat, it was easy to answer them, but in lollipop, the screen never turns on........ i'm unabe to answer calls in the traditional way...

any way out of this mess?????

Do you have a PIN set? Does this occur if you have no password/PIN?

I have not heard this before. One other thing that you could try is booting the phone into safe mode to see if you experience the same behaviour:

I have experienced the same problem on my Z1Compact after upgrading to Lollipop.  I have a pattern set so have to unlock phone.

I have also the following issues when I receive calls which I can't seem to narrow down to when each occurs.

1)  Sometimes the screen remains blank whilst the phone is ringing when locked.  I can hear it ringing but cannot do anything on the screen to answer the call.  The only thing I can do is press one of the buttons which mutes the call but I can't asnwer it.

2)  Sometimes the screen comes on when I get a call and I get a small grey notification bar with a small button to answer and another button to decline the call.

3)  Sometimes it displays the full and normal call indication (as per kitkat) but I think this is when the phone is not locked.

4)  Sometimes the above 3) and 4) appear briefly before alternating between it and the locked screen... so I have to time it right to press the screen.  If I miss then I get the pattern lock screen pop up which I then have to unlock.

Very strange and inconsistent.  I've looked at various notification settings etc but I can't work it out.  

Any thoughts?  Is there a way to revert back to previous version?
