Z1 does not charge properly

My name is John from London,United Kingdom.Ihave been using my Sony Xperia Z1 since 2013. But for the past 2 weeks, my phone does not charge well at all I can leave it on charge for three hours only to find it has charged about 25% or less at times. Please tell me do I need a new phone battery

It should take about three hours to completely charge the battery for the Xperia Z1.

Are you receiving any messages that your device discharges faster than is charges? Have you tried using another charger? Have you tried charging your device while it's powered off? Try rebooting to safe mode, does the phone charge faster while in safe mode?

If you still are not noticing any change I would suggest that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. Should this not help I recommend that you contact your Local support in order to have your device sent to and examined by an authorized service center.
