z1 compact crashes during startup after new update

Hi,

I was trying to update to the new Android system but I guess something went wrong now and now it crashes and loops during the startup-animation.. First I see the Sony logo, then the "powered by Android" then the animation starts then it freezes, then it reboots and does this over and over and over again, only way to shut it down is by pressing the red little reset button by the sim-card or holding down the power button and volume up..

I tried to repair it with PC companion but it says it has no software for this device.. I never had any problems with my phone before and I bought it only 6 months ago..

You tried a system repair or checked for new software

Performing a system repair using PC Companion

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

I did try the "repair my phone / tablet" option... unplug device.. plug it in again while holding volume down etc.. but it says "There is no software available for your device" every time.. it seems it doesn't recognize my device as a z1 compact anymore.. and no I never messed with anything on my phone, everything was default and I only installed apps from the google store..

I'm running Windows 8.1, but I tried running in Windows 7 compability mode aswell but same thing happened

You could try the manual method which is to create your own stock firmware and manually flash it or contact Xperia care for directions
