Z1 Camera Case (SPA-ACX2) doesn't fit DK-31 charging dock

Hello.

I have just bought DK-31 charging dock for Xperia Z1.

And When I tried to put my Z1 with Camera Case (ACX2) with it,

I found the gap of the slot was too small.

Of course I tried to use wider gap attachment .

But it was too narrow to put camera case.

These two items are both genuine Sony products.

But why such immature design will happen.

If Sony will offer another attachment with much wider gap, I would go for it.

This dock is a complete faillure in my opinion. A cheap lightweight piece of plastic. And to make it worse the adapter piece does not make any difference in fitting any of the 4 cases I used for my xperia Z1. Hope to find a case that will fit the dock.

Hi did you try to remove the plastic slot (complitly)  and fit the z1 with the acx2 cover on?

It does fit with a bare charging slot, just take off the adapter from the dock's slot and it would fit nicely. I was pleasantly surprised when I could do this. The protruding part where you fix the QX lenses gives the slack the phone needs to position itself right where the magnetic pins are. Fits perfectly.
