z1 and mirrorlink

Can anyone help. When my z1 phone is connected to my Sony XAV601BT I can't use the phone function through the stereo unit. The call is still from the phone and it says that bluetooth cannot connect when mirrorlink is running. How can I use my phone in mirrorlink with the phone routed through the car stereo?

Thanks for this but it doesn't explain why my Stero does not route phone calls through speakers when in the mirrorlink application. The calls still go to the phone and not the av unit.
