I own an Sony Ericsson Xperia X8. At some time yesterday, YouTube stopped having any connections to the internet.
At first, when I go to the application I can see videos, they load fine on the list as well as the names and thumbnails, but as soon as I click on them I will get an error "Attention - There is no network connection right now. Please try again later."
I'm 100% positive that it's nothing with my net. Browser works fine, facebook works fine, router or modem have full signal and couldn't go to YouTube. Youtube does not show up in "Manage applications" so I can't clear it. I would like to know if there is something I can do.
this issue is now onpen since more than a monthy why xperia team is not helping in resolving the same. its just going to give baad name on sony mobiles thats all..
Well, I am not buying another sony phone for sure! I guess they are ignoring us...
Google has decided to not support Android 2.1 anymore and i'm sorry to say that this means that some Google services and apps such as Youtube may no longer work. I recommend that you keep checking the Googles support forum for the latest news: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/youtube/XOIvYel-Gkc%5B1-25-true%5D
UPDATE! The problem sort of got fixed on its own today. I managed to watch youtube videos (only on the browser) but not in HD but in a very low quality...
As youtube has stopped working on Android 2.1 what should be the work around to get it work again ? Is it possible to upgrade the android version on xperia x8 ? Or Do i need to buy a latest mobile phone
