I have the phone rooted and unlocked, and it seems to not work with t-moblie. "no service selected network (t-mobile) unavailable". I have tried doing all the resets, but to no avail. Any suggestions?
aren't all european phones unlocked?
it doesn't have to be rooted, it needs to be unlock and as you can see it seems to be locked, what seems odd is that it doesn't request for a pin number to unlock your phone
no, it has to be "SIM Free" if you bought it from a network/carrier its locked to that network so you need to contact them to unlock it or pay a website to unlock it for you
Don't forget to check this, so you can backup and debrand your phone and update to 2.3.4
there is no pin needing to be put in, plus it was purchased in the UK. which makes me think that it is unlocked? there is no way to tell for sure if it is unlocked, besides using a different network sim card? which network would i use?
try to either repair your phone with Update Service
http://dl-www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1315209439/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.9.6.exe
w/o the SIM and SD card and then try the SIM card again
i am not able to connect to my phone because i have a macbook, and it is not compatible with this phone. plus it was unlocked this way: "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034371"
ok so you unlocked your bootloader, not the phone, those are two different things
you can install 2.3.4 and see if that solves the issue, but you still need to unlock your phone
check the links above
this is how to relock your bootloader
