Yellow blob appeared on screen

Hi

As the title suggests, I have a yellow blob appeared on the top left of the screen. Its right next to where the charging port is located.

I've noticed on a few occassions that after taking the phone from my pocket that the charging flap would be loose / open. This is strange as I don't even use this because I have an oficial wireless charging dock.

Then one day when I was using my Z2 as a sat nav in the car, I saw this yellow blob starting to appear. I turned the device off, and back on and it was still there. I then had to go to an appointment and turned off my phone for the duration of a couple of hours, and the blob had vanished upon reboot. The blob then comes back however whenever the phone has been turned on for a matter of minutes, and seems to get worse in a warm environment (in a house) or almost vanishes if being used outside in the cold.

Is this a heat related fault or a pressure related fault?

I always have my phone in my pocket, and inside it's sony case with a screen protector on. The device has never been dropped and there isn't a single mark on it.

I love my Z2, it's by far better than any HTC or SAMSUNG that I have owned, however I'm not impressed now this has happened!!   Slightly_frowning_Face I finally thought I'd found a brand of phone worth sticking with.

Has anyone any suggestions or similar experience?

Many thanks

Steve

Sorry to hear this but all you can do is either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Thanks

I have contacted Xperia Care.

I bought my phone from O2 and do not wish to use their repair service, as I have been told they cannot guarantee me getting the same device back as I may just get given a refurbed replacement.

I certainly do not want someone else's damaged and repaired cast off. How would this even work with the warranty? I would have a different imei and technically someone elses Z2. It may have even been repaired from a none warranty fault for all I know. Unacceptable from O2.

Not o2's fault - This is the way consumer law works if an item is older than 30 days - However the replacement or refurbished device must be of the same quality as the one you hand in for repair and will have the same warranty
