XperiaS Touch Issue

Hi,

I am Sony Mobile user, I purchased Sony XperiaS in June'12, Till yet it was working fine,Two days ago its suddenly stop sensing anything, I am not able to unlock my screen, However can able to attend incoming call suing hands free.

When i consulted Sony Authorized Service center located at Noida Sector 18 " Ambe Electronics" they told me that its touch pad got faulty and it will take Rs 11000/- to get it repaired.

My phone does not has any physical damage none of part even got moisture , My question is after spending Rs 32,000/- on Xperia it got faulty in 1 year 3 months which is not worth. I have decided not to buy any Sony phone in future even not to suggest any one regarding same. You people should invest effort to make hardware robust as person investing huge amount not for just 1 year. Mr. P balaji should focus on same for company growth and repair cost is so high now in market XperiaS cost is Rs. 25000/- and center is charging me almost 40% amount just to replace touch.

I would consult your countrys consumer law - There may be a case for a Sale of goods act breach as here in the UK we have upto 5 years to get redress if you can proove the fault is not caused by missuse - Things like price are also taken into consideration where by an expensive item should last longer than just over one year

As i've said you will have to look into your countrys consumer law or sale of goods act and see if you have a case for redress
