Xperia ZL: Low microphone volume

For the last couple of weeks I have been having issues with my microphone, due to which it has been very difficult to use the basic functionality of the phone that is to make calls. I have tried software repair but all my efforts are in vain.
        I now seek replacement or repair for the phone.Please guide me as to how to proceed with this issue.

What you can do is to go to the place you bought the phone and have them send it in to an authorized Sony repair center, have them check it out.
