Xperia Z5c battery life diminished since 6.0.1 update

Have noticed a massive lost of battery life since doing the latest update. Use to get easily a day out of the phone, possibly close to 2 days. Now struggling to get to the end of the working day, with minimal use. ?

It was already set to 'only when plugged in'. I did limit the addinsight app, which has made a small improvement.

Still a long way off to where it was before the update. Just getting through the day. 7am to 10pm. Could get through to lunchtime the next day easily beforehand

This is the reason I'm not updating my Xperia z3 compact tablet.

My Xperia z also lost battery life when updated from its original software

WiFi was already set to 'only when plugged in'. Face it this update is terrible and needs to be fixed. I am barely using phone through out the day and only getting about 10hrs to a charge.

I guessing that there's no support on this issue. Discussed that I have to put my phone on charge as soon as I get home from work. Terrible considering that I only use it for about an hour at most through out the day. Been finding the heats up more since the update as well

I have the same problem since the latest update, battery will not last the day and gets hot as well.  It used to last 2 days...I dont use it very much.

I had to do a software repair via Xperia companion. Backup data beforehand, then repair. Was advised to do this by Sony support on Facebook. Battery life has improved in standard battery mode (stamina mode starting at 15%). Seems better

Sony also advised to always do updates via Xperia companion and through the phone itself

Sorry not through the phone

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Facebook is your worst enemy.
