Xperia Z5 Issues

So I have the latest Sony Xperia z5 flagship handset which was upgraded from the Z3 compact and im having issues already

As i write this my handset is 7 days old and i have encountered two issues

1. The phone heats up when in use

2. The back glass cracked on its own the phone wasnt dropped hit so on. Took it out to answer a call and lo and behold I find a crack on the back of the phone. Did research on this and found that there are lots of people having this issue witht the z5. Are Sony aware of this and is there warranty that covers this from the Manufacturer.

Sony is a premium brand but the build quality on the z5 is bad, its like you have to handle the phone like how one would carry an egg.

What is Sony doing about this

Sorry to hear that, about warranty issues you need to contact your distributor and Local support to get more info about this case. Warranty will cover different parts in different markets. 

I'm using a Z5 myself and it heats when using heavy graphic games or using 4K camera for long time, other than that it may warm up reasonably.

To complete what is said here, I have a Z5C and it's getting hot too most of the day, I feel it in my pocket and I have to put the glass side on the side in contact with my skin to keep the back side out of contact because it's the hottest side. However it's never "very hot", just continually a little warm.

I now understand that if I want the phone to cool down, I just have to open app manager and kill as much apps I can. The more I keep open, the hotter it gets.

I don't play games or shoot videos, I just use mail, web, and facebook, and as I know other persons with the same problem, I don't think I have a hardware bug in my Z5C, it's just the conception.

Anyway, it's not a real problem, just a bad sensation in the pocket

Sony may never address the heating problem, or any of the z5's many other problems,  simply because for every one complaint, there are dozens if not more people saying that the problems are bearable. Proved twice in this thread alone.

It can also be one app using background data or resources and makes your phone getting hot, even when idle in your pocket. I also had an experience with double tap to wake up feature, it's too sensitive that sometime the screen is activated while in my pocket, then I feel the heat.

Please install GSAM Battery and report here a day usage so we can understand what's wrong

You can see also some graphs about temperature and signal

Report, then, if u're on Wifi, 3 or 4G, or nothing
