Xperia Z3 Dual - cracking screen

I bought a new Xperia Z3 dual three weeks ago and as it sat on my desk untouched I heard a crack, I looked to find that my screen had cracked starting near the edge by the volume control. This happened while the phone was on the desk!!! I took the phone to the dealership and they refused to change/fix it under warranty AND they don't have screens in stock!!! The screen costs 30% of the phone price.
I am a head of a corporate communications unit at a government agency and the Xperia dual was a dream come true to me until the big self-cracking-screen surprise! What a disappointment! I've been using Sony mobile since the old Sony Ericsson days and the M600, and I fail to comprehend how could Sony produce something with such a fault in it AND not inform its dealers? Or what could be worse, the faulty devices might have been sold! I wish I had read other users experiences here before making the big purchase, I can never rely on Sony or its dealers for not having the basic spare parts

Sorry to hear that. You should stay in contact with Sony Xperia support to find out when they'll have more screens in stock so your phone can be repaired.

The same. My screen (Z3 Dual white) cracked while was in my jacket... I've used original Sony Smart Cover and dock station for charging and NEVER droped my phone. Phone was like just unboxed.

Mine was the white too!! I'm more convinced that this was a factory's fault and we had to pay the (expensive price)

am Suraj Kakkoth recent!y purchased Sony Xperia Z3 . I received the product without any issues but after one week very strange thing happened. I saw my phone with damaged display having cracks all over it. Just 30 minutes before I had used my phone with out any issues and never fall down or nothing seriously happened to the phone after that, i know no one will belive this for first time but thats the thing happened actually. but very very strangely saw its display get cracks all over it and touch screen not working. I am ready to contact Sony Global help desk on this issue because for me its a serious issue to be investigated, may be some design or component issue need to resolved and may need proper troubleshooting why its happened and how to stop it happen again. I need replacement for this product as soon as possible.

I know i am not only one unlucky person who has faced this issue, if you check online reniews ont just on sony open forum but everywhere you can find this issue. its happening from 2014 and sony never rectified the problem and the worse thing is they keep selling those devises again and agan rather than bring all them back for further investigations. its really a shame for such a big comapny as they are not taking any intiative to resolve the matter.

i am still waiting for comapnies feedback and its a long wait again from thier coustomer serice.
