Camera button will focus but not take picture

Hey guys, only got the phone a week or so ago. Just goes to show how often I do use the camera button. Although I might not use it all the time, I would still like the button to work. Especially if I want to take pictures on the rain or underwater.

So basically the camera button does not take the picture but it does focus. Also camera does not open when you press the button. So basically it's stuck to the point where it's pressed halfway. Anyone else have this problem?

There should be 2 phases to take a picture: half press to focus, full press to shoot.

It is a bit stiff at first but soon gets better.

Yeah I understand that but the full press does not take the picture it only focuses.

And Viridis, so I'm guessing you had the same problem? And then it just turned out it started working or...?

No, mine took a picture without too much pressure at all.
I suggest return to place of purchase for exchange.

Mine was workimg fine, rhen after the upgrade to Android 6 marshmellow it started behaving just like yours.

I've had this happen before, and occassionally the "capture" button you click disappears too.

The only way I've come past this, was to force stop the camera, and then reset the phone.

This also worked when my camera kept closing with the error "camera has stopped responding" every time I opened the camera app.
