Xperia z3 compact predictive text dictionary gone.

The other week I updated my Sony Xperia z3, wasn't paying too much attention, it asks me to accept updates and I just accept. Now when I type messages my predictive text has almost no words I usually use, previously if this happened I would type the word then put predictive back on and select it, this would store it in the memory. This no longer works, every time I type the words I need to do it manually. I've tried using the learn from messages function, this brings all my words back until I leave messaging then go back in. Any ideas how to fix?

Do you have any taskiller, clean master, cache cleaning app, etc?

No, do you remember which android version you had before the update?

No idea but it's 5.1.1 now, I don't usually check just let it update when it asks

If it was major update it will make sense.

So how do I fix it?I've tried adding words to my personal dictionary in my chosen language and in general and also writing them then going over them in predictive to make the word orange then selecting it

Just to clarify, the words are not saved?

Nope they won't save but they were saved

It happened to me on KitKat as well.... I factory reset my device a while ago and so far is doing well but I fear this will happen again over time.

The issue was that the personal dictionary contained words but they were being ignored and new words didn't stick...
