Xperia z3 back scratches easily

Doe asanyone know if the Z3 has the shatter proof film on the back of it or is that the glass?

I ask as I have just put a scractch down the back of it from a tiny piece of sugar on my desk. **bleep**?  I thought this was suppossed to be scratch resistant?  I am waiting for a film protector for the back to arrive but can i peel off the shatter proof protector to replace it with the film case or have i scratched the glass?

I guess any crystal will be able to damage the glass.

I have been using my phone out of any protectors for some time. The front panel has been quite sturdy with no scratches visible to my eyes so far. But the back panel has already got manyyyyy fine lines on it. The phone usually sits on flat table, or else in my pocket.
