Hello,
I noticed that my Xperia Z2's screen had a weird pink hue when I put it on the charging dock. The black screen gets pink when I tilt the device and look at it from a certain angle. It is most noticeably when I look at it from the bottom left or right corner. This is a picture of my Z2 of the (what is supposed to be black) notification bar. It turns completely pink! http://www.imagebam.com/image/a7d11b325429323
The calibration of my device is also way off. Everything looks a bit red. I compared it with the Z2 of a friend of my and he didn't have the problems, and his screen looks also much better calibrated. So is my Z2's screen faulty and should I replace it, or is there another screen lottery? manufacturing date: 14W17 and PhoneHouse NL unbranded.
Please check it on your own Z2's. Thanks in advance!
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
On my Xperia Z2 the screen is not that pink in a dark room. I suggest that you go to Settings > Display > White balance, and check if you have done some settings here. Otherwise, I suggest that you contact your local support team to see if you can get your unit replaced or if a service center can examine your unit and fix it:

Hi Hampus. Thanks for your reply.
WB settings unfortunately don't help. Does your Z2 also get a little pink when viewed from the same angle or doesn't it get pink at all? And do you knof if Sony uses different screens for the Z2 just like previous Xperia's? I just read on XDA that some people are reporting 'a red hue' on the screen. Because then I will try to get one from a different batch if that's true.
All the Xperia Z2's are using IPS screen. When I'm viewing my Xperia Z2 from that angle, it's slightly pink but not as much as your photo. And it's hard for me to say if it's an issue or not. Thereby, I suggest that you contact nearest service center so a technician can examine your unit.
True, a fine Xperia Z2, can get pinkish from a concrete view (mine is from right bottom corner to left top corner when an angle is about 75-85 degrees) but yours look like overburned, thats definitly a device to be repaired with new screen or replaced for new one.
@adamlee2014 - This is going to sound odd, but are you wearing polarised glasses when seeing this occur?

I'm kinda confused here. For those with the 'pink' issues, what colour is your background?
