Xperia Z2 oxidation, is my SD and SIM card in danger?

My Z2 has been diagnosed with oxidation and is now dead. However I took my SD and SIM cards out and plugged them into another phone without thinking much. They still are working fine but I'm scared if they will cause harm to my new phone. Should I remove them? Is it too late?

You might want to back everything up and get new cards.

Is there a chance there's already been a damage to my new phone? Also do you think maybe the cards would be totally fine as they are working fine atm?
