Xperia z2 heat in normal usage?

i read in many forums that the Z2 got issue of being overheated fast when you record 4k video and other high performance task on it but what i want know is that with normal usage like browsing internet playing game for while or watching a movie n other normal task does it get very hot very fast? or does it work like other phone gets bit hotter more you use it

Hi,

While the phone is in use or when you charge it, it will get hotter than normal. This is normal and if the phone gets to hot, it will power off automatically to prevent overheating.

ya but what about noraml usage does it get hot like anyother phone or does it get super hot and alot faster than other phones from different companies

no.my z2 in normal usage doesn't get hot.the fastest way to make phone hot is using Ar effect,Ar fun,4k,slow motion and ......

don't afraid about it's heating.

Unfortunately, I do not have the possibility to try with phones from other manufacturers. Could you please define "super hot"?

And depending on the configuration and apps that are running in the background, the phone can of course get hot while it's in use.

well i used alot other phone from different brands and its know for all smartphone users that longer you use phone the hotter it gets that fine.

what i meant by super hot for Z2 is does it get very hot to point that it hurts your fingers or becomes bit annoying to hold in your hand in short period of usage or does it get hot in normal rate like any other smartphone would.

No, it should not get that hot that it hurts your fingers. I have never experienced that behaviour so I would say normal rate like any other phone. Like JOHN_f said, if you use the camera applications or 4K, the phone will heat up faster which is normal.

Thank you Hampus. I've read all this here, but I've got one question.

Is it normal for the phone to get hot during 2 or 3 of using the camera? And is it normal to get very hot in AR  Fun and other camera functions in 2 or 3 minutes?

It will become warm and it's normal for using camera lens with all the android apps in background, which is why normal digital cams without operating system are much cooler. AR uses the most CPU power beneath 4K which generates heat, but that won't kill the phone or do any inside damage, and I assure You other brands heat as much to. Compared HTC One and new S6 while playing Asphalt 8 and all three warmed up very quickly to more less same temp. level, the blame is in new CPUs only, Quads, Octacores in tight cases with no running fans or cooling holes to keep dust and water proof functionality.
