Xperia Z2 Compact - we want it :D

We want the Z2 Compact, because that would be awesome. No more flash bleeding on pics, a glass (or metal) back and a 1080p screen. Waterproof. We would love it.

The concept of  "Compact" is that it has a small frame in opposition to the ever increasing monster phones.

In that sense, I would only go for a "Compact" if it was really Compact. Meaning, it should be the overall size of an iPhone 5S like the Z1 Compact is.

They might even bump the screen from 4,3" to 4,5", as long as the size of the Compact doesn't change. Which means, smaller bezels on top and bottom. Otherwise, leave the 4.3". Compact means small. And most 4.5 - 4.7 phones aren't small at all.

Otherwise it's useless to produce a "Compact" with 4.5" - 4.7" when the Z2 is 5.2" in the body size of the Z1's 5".

So no, nothing that comes closer to the Moto G size. Keep the size of the current Z1 Compact. Increase the screensize if possible within that frame or leave it at 4.3".

Absolutely agreed. But the concept of smaller phones is gone way back. If we are talking about compact phone Z1 compact 4.3inch is already available then why would people go again with the same phone with same size and that too gaming exp and watching movies doesnt really have good experience. But a new innovation of the Z2 compact phone in the form Xperia ZL shape would be fantastic although ZL was not booming in the market, people can taste both small and big experience. Try and understand the new ideology. We want somethig new rather than copying iPhone and Moto G. Sony is Sony and build phones according to its customer needs.

I agree with you, the overall size must be the same as Z1 Compact or smaller and increase the display from 4,3 to 4,5" inch, that would be great.

@Victor07, I don't agree with you, the concept of Compact phone on the Xperia Z series is unique because there isn't any phone there on the market, nor any other brand with a compact size and the same specs as their bigger brothers. 

If you want a bigger phone with other specs there are a lot of phones on the market, go buy one of these...

My ideology is if you are looking for  the same size then why not going after Z1 compact and what difference will Z1 compact and Z2 compact have. Absolutely foolishness to build a compact phone with same size. I dont care about Samsung, HTC, Moto or iPhone mini versions, they all look to me as a **bleep** with pathetic looks and specs as Sony only produces unique products in the market. Z2 compact should have to have 4.5/4.6 inch of screen with BODY DIMENSIONS : 133-135 x 68-69  x 8-9 mm just like Xperia ZL with 720p or 1080p as decided by Sony.  With these figures the phone would be very perfect in size for pockets for single hand use and etc. It would also stand tall with all phones not very small not very big.

Of course xperia z2 compact will be small size like Motorola moto x I think moto x size ideal hope it will same z2 compact will see soon

@Berdan. I understood ur point but look at the size that you mentioned right now, it is the same size as Z1 compact then why would people go for Z2 compact if both offers same specs and size. And that too Z2 would quote higher than Z1 so dont you think Z2 would fail in the market. 4.6 inch is must with dimensions 133-135 x 68-69  x 8-9 mm is a must need.
