Xperia Z2 Brightness stuck on lowest setting

Hello all!

recently i damaged my Xperia screen and bought a replacement from online, the replacement i received worked for a whole 2 days before it started registering multiple fingers in which i sent it off to get another replacement!

now i have another screen and for some reason the brightness is stuck on the lowest setting no matter what it says in the settings (i can have it on the highest in the settings and still nothing!).

does the backlight for the Xperia screen come within the screen itself, or is it built into the phone? if its within the phone does anyone know how i could fix this??

this might not be 100% relevant to the forum, i dont know as i dont use forums that often, its mainly the last 2 questions i could do with answering please

Replacing phone parts on your own will void the warranty and unfortunately, I'm no service technician myself and can thereby only advice you to contact your local support team for further information where to find an authorized service center to have the phone examined:
