Guys i have no clue what has happened, my z1s was offline for quite a long while (>4 months to be exact). So i was like that i should power it back on, but nothing booted up. i only get a SOLID red light the INSTANT I connect the charger. It goes off after a couple of mintues
Connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2-3 hours > turn it back on
I have tried that my friend...it dims the red light slightly before brightening up again and then proceeds to blink 2 times. if i proceed to connect it to my pc its the same story, the system will recongize that something got connected and after two seconds it loses the connection. by the way, i left it to charge overnight.
Hi @4W4I5, I'm sorry to hear about that.
Did you also press and hold the small OFF button that you find if you open up the cover for the SIM card?
Press and hold the button with a non sharp object, for example the tip of the pen until the phone vibrates > release the OFF button and try to charge / start your device.
If you still can't power on or charge the device, could you please try and use another original charger or charger cable? I'd also recommend that you remove any SIM and/or SD card.
Let me know how it went!
Ill try that Jonas...
Alright jonas...i tried what you just asked and it seems that the red led flashes in various brightnesses with one second gaps...
Is it entirely possible that i may have a faulty battery considering that after removing the battery and plugging it to a charger i get a solid red led blinking at regular intervals
Thanks for the swift update!
I'm afraid it sounds like it's related to hardware rather than software.
There is one more thing you can try and that is performing a software repair using Xperia Companion, this will however require that your phone has at least 80% battery left and since you can't charge or turn the phone on it's hard to say if you are able to complete the repair.
If you can't perform the repair or if you can't charge / power on your phone after the repair has been completed I'd recommend that you contact your Local support so they can assist you with getting your phone sent in to an authorized service centre.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks for trying your best, but im afraid there isnt a service center here in pakistan. Also i want to add on the fact that this particular Xperia z1 was sold by t mobile. I did some googling and found out that in some ways it is different to the orginal z1.
Hi @4W4I5,
You should be able to contact your local support team if you send them an email at questions.pk@support.sonymobile.com
Depending on where the phone has been bought there might be a difference between the models, for example the Xperia Z1 with model number C6902 doesn't support 4G/LTE.
I work globally but I'm situated in the Nordic region and local specific questions handled at a local level by your local support.
Keep me updated when you have received an answer from our Pakistan support!
