hello,
I have a Sony xperia z1s, the problem is :
In an active voice call, when the phone goes sleep (inactive for 30 seconds) then I don't hear any voice on speaker or headset or headphone or any output device.
If I keep the phone on speaker and keep the display ON or don't allow the device to enter sleep then the voice has no issue.
I think when ever the display goes off or device enters sleep, the audio output is going off.
Can some one suggest a fix please ?
T-mobile is crap network, they don't have a kitkat update for this device for many months now. I will never use T-mobile in future. All I have is a very old software update to deal with.

Khasim
See if the same occurs in safe mode:

Hi,
Yes, this happens even with safe mode.
On a voice call, when the display goes off the audio out (on loud speaker, speaker , headset) goes off as well.
If I put the call on loud speaker and keep the phone active then I don't see this problem. Only when the display goes off or sleep this happens.

Did you try a software repair?
Sorry, you mean by updating to latest version, I have done that by connecting my phone to host PC software and installing updates. Didn't help.
Also, tried with factory default.
Unfortunately this phone is xperia z1S a t-mobile one and this has only one update and nothing else like kitkat, etc.

I have followed this http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-9906 and I am on latest build number that is shown here.

You should have the phone examined at a sony service or if you have warranty with T-mobile,go there.
