Xperia Z1 Video codec support

Can Xperia Z1 play FullHD 10-bit .mkv videos with ease?
According to the Gsmarena.com review it cannot, but in the 'Sony Whitepaper' it can. According to the whitepaper z1 can play most video codecs with ease but according to gsmarena it cannot.

Normally,it should play 1080p videos,but some are coded with some codecs that Z1 might not have.This issue can be solved by using MXPlayer or VLC.

Can you try some videos out if you have a z1. Because I might buy it depending on its codec support, considering my time spent viewing videos usually 10bit fhd .mkv
