Xperia Z1 screen protector catches scratches

I write to you seeking an enquiry about the new Xperia Z1. First I wish to express that this is the most gorgeous and premium looking phone I've come across ever. However since it is on the expensive side, I've done some research and have come up with one question.

The plastic screen protector on the Z1 tends to catch scratches and upon removal of it, the front Sony logo comes off as well. As a consumer dishing out substantial amount I wouldn't wish to lose Sony branding on my phone. I do not intend to use any phone covers since hiding the beautiful Z1 inside a cover is not my agenda as this is my answer to premium looking iPhones.

Please share how to get a replacement front and back plaster protectors with Sony branding or a solution when you have scratches on Z1 front/back side as they tend to catch scratches very easily and there are multiple videos on youtube highlighting the same.

Your response will be eagerly anticipated.... Yours Syed...

Who said that removing the ASF will void the warranty,

I have just spoken to Sony customer services and please see the screenshot below

I hope this helps

so removing the ASF doesnt void the warranty? is this available to all the countries? Im from the philippines. so I can still claim the warranty regarding the dead pixel that I have on my screen eventhough I already removed the ASF?

May I ask which country this conversation you had applies to?

Given the news about scratches, I want to protect the screen of my brand new z1 compact. Several reviewers showed how to remove the ASL and replace it with the new product, but I don't want to void my warranty. Can I apply a film or tempered glass screen protector over the Sony ASL instead of removing it?  Would that cause any problems?

I think this answered what I was looking for, having read about the the ASF and then finding there is a screen protoctor in the box.

So obviously, that is to protect the vulnerable ASF.

Now comes fear, loathing and bubbles! - I might see if I can get it done at the Three store when I go to get my SIM swapped (I don't have a SIM cutter)
