Hello i have bought the xperia Z1 about a month ago and after some use of HD games and internet my Xperia got Bended ๐ the front glass is moving and the aluminum Chassis is bended at 2 points ..... the charging spot and the sim card spot ... i hardly ever have the phone on my pocket and i always leave it on the desk so my question is how is that possible to happen ? heat problem ? and does Sony covers the guarante of my phone of repair because as you see below the phone is deformed ... please help me find out what to do , i only have this phone for less than a month and by the way its fully functional but im afraid of the water resistance cause screen got unglued also . all photos taken by my Xperia Z

hello just got a an aswer from sony after 2 week on ingoring me and not notify me what happend with the mobile i had to go to the xperia care of my island and they say warranty doesent covers it and i have to pay 188 euros to fix it ๐ฎ why so much for a bended frame and why dont cover it they said they have to change the frame the battery cover and the Screen ... why should they change all that if only the frame is bended and nothing else broken ? and if they change that isent it like getting another phone cause 70 % of the phone will be replaced doent that coved by warranty if they have to change almost 70 % of the phone to fix it ? ๐ please enlight me in this one if you can thank you .
I don't want to judge the sources of bending the phone but I can imagine how to do it if the pocket is slightly too short for the phone while you seat for example. It doesn't look like thermal extension.
But why all those parts? You send phone to SC and no matter if it is warranty repair or paid repair you expect the phone to be up to original specifications, especially still waterproof.
It means that front and rear glass must fit ideally to new frame. Looking at potential shock that was absorbed by those elements and destroyed waterproofing rings inside SC decided that they have to be replaced too.
Now it's up to you if you accept your fault or try to convince Xperia Care that it is not your fault, but it may be as hard as convincing car manufacturer that broken bumper isn't due hit.
well i apreaciate your opinion but i never use the phone on my pocket always on my desk in job and at home as i said phone had problems with excess heat sometimes and it was too hot to hold in my hands while i was playing , maybe the chassis of the phone is Faulty and was more prone to bending than usual , i called xperia care today and they say they done some test on the device and everything was fine the representer of the department tho dident know and he couldend aswer me what tests they did ... ๐ฎ (maybe they looked it and they said its bended so its his fault ) when i asked him where i can find those informations he said the repair department and when i asked fot their phone to call them he said they dont talk directly to customers ๐ฎ ๐ so they done tests and he doesent know which ones but he knows that i bended it? thats ridiculus .. i also told him maybe the prossesor or the battery might be faulty and they disfunctioned at one point and the bending happend because of the heat that time and when the phone was or repair center it worked just fine and it might happend again cause they wont change those and he couldent aswer that either ....i think this is going to be a long debate between (little) me and SONY ...
P.S my friend bought the same phone at the same time as i did and he uses it in the army in his pants all the time in excercises and running ....all day long and his phone is fine ...and they say to me its because of missuse ... just lol
Well, fighting with customer support or service centres is another story. I had to wait for 8 days just to get the price of screen replacement (after I broke it) so I really understand your frustration.
On the other hand I put a lot of stress playing Sonic using DS3 and MHL output to TV and also the phone was hard to keep it in hand. But it didn't seem to be more prone to bending.
Of course it could bend due to battery but if Li-Ion battery increase it's capacity it's battery fault. But then I would expect broken screen rather than bending itself.
So... if you believe it's faulty unit try to get some external expertise, but as always it such cases it depends of your local law what you can do, how to proceed and what are the consequences of your steps (I mean lawyer and expert costs).
Try to calm down, look around for some help from independent consumer organisation in your country and then try to proceed step by step in right direction.
Also try to push Xperia Care. In many countries Service Centres are independend companies which follow step by step guidelines what to do in different cases and sometimes you need some external help to be listened. But at the end Xperia Care will relay on authorised service centre opinion about use/abuse and it's up to them what to do with that opinion.
Also, when you call SC, talk with different people, write down when you called them (date, time, call length) and write down their names and departments. It's harder to say "I haven't spoke with him" if you don't know the name of consultant.
Well today i contacted my local xperia care on my island of corfu to recieve the Technicians report on what tests have beed done to my phone and when i got there they only had a tech report saying that the problem is the Frame has bended and they need to change the Screen and the Frame and the Back Cover ... witch is odd because they said on their report that only the frame is the problem ... in the evening i called Xperia Care on Athens to give me anexplanation on why there is non Fully Technicians report on my phone ( whiich tests have beed done ..) and the same Representer that told me yesterday that i would receive it told me that this is not possible ๐ he changed his saying and/or avoided to give clear answer and he told me that they dont give such informations **bleep** ?!! they say that they do test to see if the phone is working as it supposed to be and they dont tell which ones ? so asked him if i look the phone and i see its bend this is what you call a Technicians report ?? and he kept saying that i should reffer to my local Xpera Care to accept or refuse the offer they made me ... he was ignoring my questions also on that i as a conssumer i have the right to know what they done with my phone to come to this conlusion that its out of warranty cover , and i told them that it might be a Faulty frame thats caused the Deformations and if they done eny test on the frame and again he ignored me and changed the subject ....... Sony Support is really poor or this Representer is not helping me with my Problem they kept reapiting the same answers and dident give me clear aswers i feel they dont want to change the phone in the warranty because it will cost them a lot of money if they accept that the phones frame is Faulty i laso afraid of my Health if the phone is repaiired beacuse the battery might be faulty as well and it will not be changed (expanding batteries are dangerous) , i feel like they try to convince that this is my fault and exploit me and dont pay the repair themeselves so if enyone has or had the same problem advice me what should i do ๐ im waiting to speak with someone higher rank than his and i hope i come in a conlusion on what actions i should take .... i am willing to take it as far as it goes because as a consumer i have rights also and i should not be treated like this .
well SONY is asking me 227 euros to fix my Sony Xperia Z1 Cover Screen and Battery cover !!! + technicians costs ....
they cant tell me how much the parts costs ... and they cant justify why the phone was bended just make guesses ...
i told them it might be a charger caused the problem ... i sent it to them i hope it doest get 2 weeks again to test it ... the odd part is that they have opened my mobile to test it as he said and if i dont want to repair it there is a change they will sent it to me in 2 pieces battery cover and the rest ... ๐ they are trully a BIG company and they know how to keep their money .... take i mean 
they already charged me 15 euros for technicians check so they are already winning .... they keep stalling me untill i get tired and i drop my point and accept the repair of 227 euros ... and the phone costs in my country 300 euros ffs.... so 70 euros more and i get a new phone !!! SONY i was picking you for 7 years for my mobiles untill this day ... i made a mistake .... and i will make sure no one else makes the same mistake again .... as i said either i get what i paid for or i will go as far as it goes .... there are more like me out there and we will take actions for our rights as consumers
give me clear tests results of what happend - treat me like you help ME , not the company - Explain me what you do with my money (repair parts) - and dont try to deceive me with looots of talking and little evidence .
Mine is bent in an IDENTICAL way to your phone. Sony claimed it's not covered under warrenty and my insurers say it's a manufacturing default so nobody will cover it.
