Hi, I've seen the disassembly of Z1 and it seems that it uses the same glue that sticks the back panel of the phone.
Complaints about the back panel of Xperia Z loosening and lifting up due to phone heating up (gaming etc etc) making the phone exposed to water.
It's a downer if this also happens to the z1 since I like playing games on my phone and I like my phone to be water proof at the same time. It's really a good device. However, I cant compromise of having it broken if water suddnly goes inside the phone due to the faulty glue of the back panel.
also if the glue melts due to excessive heat then it could ruin the design and beauty of the phone.
Will the Z1 be exempted from this issue since it already happened to Xperia Z.
Only time will tell
I just got my brand new xperia z1 7 days ago. I do not really play any games, just watch news and testing out some video and music. Today I decided to wash it with my kitchen tap water, which is relatively normal pressure and all flaps are tightly closed. After 30 minutes the phone went dead, I started to see moisture started to build inside my camera lens, then i try to check the flaps of the sim card, micro sd card and charging flaps, all remain white but i can see few drop of water around that area.
I have send in to Sony Service Center, but I have not knowing what is the fate and what went wrong with my phone.
It is still a new phone, are they going to replace a new phone if they find it is a defective in the phone or are they going to fix it and throw it back to me?
