Hi, uhh. I bought a xperia x10 a month ago and recently when i turn on my xperia, it goes to the green sony ericsson logo and shuts down by itself and it automatically turns on and again, it shuts down when it reaches the green sony ericsson logo. I asked my uncle, which is a worker at Sony Ericsson and he told me it's the softwares problem. I've been spending too much money on this phone and i don't wanna spend even more to repair my phone. Can anyone tell me how to fix it myself? Please tell me as soon as possible. I'm dying without my phone 😕 Kay thanks.
Hi Victoryboy,
I previously have same issue with you after upgrading to OS 2.3.3: My X10 cannot charge via USB, the phone turn off automatically etc.
Now every thing seems to be ok after I downgrade the OS back to Android 2.1 (at least for nearly one week).
I sugguest you to try the same way. Use sofware upgrade or repair will not have any result (in my case).
You can check the way to downgrage OS at xda forum:

Hope this will help you.
Dear All,
Today i have receive my phone with change motherboard for restart problem.
I have check problem that was in my last motherboard is not present in the new motherboard.
but i need some more time so that i can check about restart proble.
It took 8 days to get my phone repair.
I hope this will not restart again, as my warrant will be expire in two days.................
I'm having the same problem now. How can i connect my X10 to SEUS or PC companion if it won't start up? I only see red light flashing everytime i try to plug it in for charging and the saddest part, there is no SE service center in my place or if there will be, it is too far from me. I'm working here in Oman and bought my x10 in my country Philippines. I don't know what to do now with my phone. I love it very much! For 17 months, i had no problem with it or whatsoever that made me feel frustrated about using x10. Until after the latest software update. Please help me....!
Hi kiandelacuesta,
Just connect your phone to PC, run SE PC Companion, choose software upgrade and then choos repair to reinstall your OS.
Hope this can help.
I had the same problem with my X10. I did all the software repairs, I talked to SE service. I finally bought a new battery and charger on ebay and that seems to have corrected the issue. When I put the original battery in, the phone suhts off randomly and I can't get it to restart. There has to be an issue with the sony batteries.
the same thing again I SEE!!!
you don't understand that this problem with the motherboard is very common, not only an isolated case(only me or other 10 people for example) if you read the 37 pages from x10 restarts...is the same allmost for all x10,not from software, or the card or everything else...almoust all x10 from the first generation will end up like me.
GUYS FROM SONY.......
TAKE THE FAULTHY PHONES BACK AND REPLACE THEM...there are alot of people with the same problem including my self!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
is there common problem from the motherboard
I am new to this forums........
People keep saying to choose repair, but if the phone won't turn on or the battery is too low/dead you can't do the repair.
Hi Kevmauldin, replied your other post ....
It's the battery. I've experienced the same issues as all of you. Random shut downs and all. I tried everything. I spoke to technical support who suggested that the phone be returned for repair, outside of warranty of course. I reset the phone. Then I installed a battery app that I could see the charge history. I noticed that the battery would tank for no reason. I bought two new batteries on Ebay with a charger in February and not had any trouble since then. Best $13 I could have spent. Hope this helps.
