Hi folks,
I've got a new Xperia V, firmware is updated.
The problem that I encounter, and that is so to say rather vital for the device, the 'V sometimes just sends incoming calls to my voicemail, at the same time the 'V won't let me make any calls. I have used the same operator for about 25 years. So nothing new on that side of the wire.
Indicator says that I am connected to my operator "Telia" signal strength is good. But the signal meter never changes, so even if I am in the basement where I know is way out of range, the signal meter is as happy as if nothing has changed, still showing full signal strength.
There is no way for me to know when the 'V has locked me out from the world, only way that I notice it is when I am trying to make a call.
Only way to get the 'V to start working as a phone(!) is to either restart the phone, or make a roundtrip to flightmode.
So, Sony, what's going on, how will you solve this?
Cheers,
Stefan Gemzell
I have the same problem.
Using latest update 9.0.0D.0.10 and the Telenor operator.
This in realy a showstopper!
Phone seems OK, but no incoming calls get through! and you can't take a call
Message "No operator avaliavbe"
After restart it works OK.
This happens sporadicly with no logic pre-actions.
We are 2 persons with Xperia V and exactly same problem. The phone simply looses connection (if you connect it to your car in the display of the car you can see "inget nätverk ("No network"). Only solution is to either restart the phone or got to flightmode and back again.
we are also using telenor and 9.0.0D.10.
Problem i less when not using 4g, but still appears.
Anyone with any thoughts??
strange strange problem . Lets do some isolation to see if its the 4G issue or???
1) Switch to 2G permanently and see what happens
2) Switch to 3G permanently and see what happens (data OFF)
3) Switch to 3G permamntly and see whats happen ( data ON)
We may be able to ID some common speific since you guys are all from teh same operator or from Sweden.
Please let me know if these issue still remains if you use a another (new) SIM card in the phone.
any updates regarding the Sleep of Death issue?it seems you pretend guys that don't see posts in another thead
The issue ("No network")only appears
sporadically, so it is hard to reproduce. (and my profession is Test Manager so
I have really tried!)
But this weekend the Xperia V have worked with no issues with LTE
mode on and ( data ON)!
The only change in my user behavior is:
I have not used the function at all: InternetSharing_USB-link (and internet
surf through my PC-laptop).
Normally I have used USB-link a lot.
My Telenor-physical shop think it’s hard
that my micro-SIM is the cause, more probably something happens when Data
connection is put On /Off that disturb the "phone call/receive"
functionality.
But I shall try the sim card in my old Iphone 3Gs(no 4G), and if it works, send
my Xperia V to service.
Or shall I try change to a new SIM card first?
By the way, the "DataTraffic"
function always works even if the "phone call/receive" function is
broken.
All 3 options the phone(s) seem to work better, option 1& 2 no problems, options 3 only once and that was when driving from sweden to Denmark..So it seems to be really 4g related.
New sim ,no change
One more thing,
I may or may not be related, but when using the energy save mode the problem appears with much less frequency - probably because data is swiched some time after the screen goes dark?
