Xperia U - USB never connects

Hi

When i connect my phone to my pc the phone never connects. I've installed PC Companion and it just keeps on searching for the phone and then after a while will say it had issues communicating with the phone and says to restart and try again but still doesn't work.

Why can't they just have mass storage? i've had to resort to using an ftp server to put files on.

Check that the USB cable is plugged directly into the computer rather than through a hub.

Restart the computer without disconnecting the USB cable or turning off the phone.

Try the above and see what results you get.

Most of the times Sony's PC companioin won't detect the phone. I have experienced this many times and still its on... I have to struggle for more than 30 mins by connect/disconnect USB cable, restart phone, restart computer... its a hell doing all these non-sense procedure sony had put-up.

Why can't Sony make SIMPLE and EASY ?

I use the same USB port and cable[yes, Sony's cable, its a universal USB cable] to connect my Nokia 5800 Xpress Music, it works like a charm. Just connect the phonr through USB and your phone is ready to use through PC suite.

But, my Xperia U, never ever worked like my Nokia. Sony have to learn make everything simple silly.

It's common PCC problem !!! all of us have this problem !!! i don't like to connect my Xperia U to pc Because it's wasting my time and i should reset more and more maybe it's connect well al least !!! SONY doesn't want to fix it !!!

every time i am trying to connect my xperia u but never never succes bulls shit i am going to consumer court for this failuer product i have change the cable install reinstall every thing reset more time and i have lost my data two time i am not satisfiy with this xperia u...i will complaint to consumer court against the miss guide

My phone is connected instantly on a USB 2.0 Hub. Its even faster than my old Nokia C3.

Ever since I have upgraded to 4.0.4, I am experiencing  this this problem... One of my computers has 1 gb ram, so i tried it out on other ones as well, thinking that 1 gb ram is not sufficient... But, the same happens again...
