Xperia U No Notification/SMS noise after update OS

Since i have updated my phone a couple of weeks back i dont get a text noise when i recive a text!
I found another post on this saying other people are having this problem but with no resolution.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do ?

I'm afraid that we have to wait for new ICS update, and maybe then... But nobody knows if they plan to fix right this issue   For me this is the only one bug that I have - missing SMS tone and low light of notification diode (solved by great&easy app "illumination bar")

i m using xperia u...facing sms notification n facebook notification prob...updated ics its been one month...from last two days facing this prob...turning off n on soving this prob for only 1 to 2 hrs...then facing the same prob again n again...sick...:(
