Xperia U & McAfee

Hi,

My friend came up to me yesterday with a problem with his Xperia U, he accidently got it locked with the McAfee security, so whenever he starts the phone the security asks for a PIN. He doesnt know his pin and he is not getting alot of support from McAfee either so I was wondering is there any way to just reset the phone or to flash a different software on it so that this security won't appear again?

Or is the security attached to the phones serial number?

Unfortunately even running a repair to reload the firmware on the phone does not remove this type of lock. In these cases we can only refer to McAfee for a resolution.
