Xperia U ICS update India

Hello Support,

Can you please let me know when can we expect the ICS update for Xperia U phones? I believe that most of the issues faced will be resolved once when the update is released? Please let me know, am waiting for a very long time now.

Thanks for suggestion Siva. Factory Setting however will erase all the data from phone. I need to take the backup first and I am in office right now

How about setting reset?

I will do the factory reset when I'll reach home and will inform about the result.

I hope it will also resolve problem of crashing when choosing running application option in Apps

use another launcher other than the default launcher. Apex/Nova/Go launcher.

If settings reset doesnt solve the issue, a repair using SUS would make some improvements.

It means your SI number hasnt got the update yet. Well its released in India, so you shouldnt have to wait a lot.

Same issue with me, pc companion still shows that your phone is up to date. why? My phone SI number is 1263-5054.

Updated my XU to ICS... Initial reactions:

Camera - Gives a bluish/ green tinge to photos... you have to use the volume keys for zoom purpose

Visual appeal - looks nice... though some apps don't just go away. Ex - McAfee, Cricbuzz, Wisepilot...etc. They come back after restart

Phone lags for sure - but factory reset helps

Contact photos either don't appear, or are hazy (from FB integration)... which means there is a bug there too

Walkman & Video look awesome... typical of Sony

Am yet to explore more - particularly the face lock part
