Xperia U ICS update India

Hello Support,

Can you please let me know when can we expect the ICS update for Xperia U phones? I believe that most of the issues faced will be resolved once when the update is released? Please let me know, am waiting for a very long time now.

The rollout plans for the Xperia NXT series (Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia U) are progressing as planned.

The Xperia S started being updated towards the end of June. Then Xperia P will follow after this, whilst Xperia U will receive it a little later in Q3.

ICS update for Xperia U ( India) available now. My wife has U and it is over the air ( around 26MB)

I dont see any of it yet(am in India). Have checked PCC as well and nothing there.Can anybody else confirm this? Over the air ICS seems unlikely.

It says latest Android software available and it shows in the phone's built-in system update app. Ill take a screen shot and post it tonite when I reach home. I was surprised too coz I have neo v and I had ICS update using PCC.

My wife, after seeing my sluggish Neo V post-ICS-update does not want to take the risk despite me trying to convince her that her Xperia U has double the power of my Neo V. Let's see and her U is infested with the 'purple spot on camera' also which makes her phone's gallery flooded with only the photos captured pre-purple-spot-invasion. Overall, I am not very happy with her experience with the so called Xperia U mainly because of the annoying purpler-spot on the camera
