Had the T for around 4 days on contract with T Mobile.
The phone was working fine, until today when i finished work, found out the phone was dead.
Having had a blackberry before this and i was able charge the phone from my cd player in the car, i did the same with this.
Phone charged, but then suddenly it was on 0% charge, phone died.
Tried powering it back on and all i got was flashing red lights.
I dont know how to reset the phone etc.
Managed on the off chance to get the phone past the start screen, but whenever i swipe the screen, all it says is "Android System".
Help Anyone?

I bought my Xperia T few days ago, today morning my phone was turned off, so I tried to turn it on, but nothing happened, even no reaction from LED diod. I tried volume up + power button, I tried chraging it with another USB cable, then Sony Update Service, but it didn't register the phone when I plugged it in. I am pretty angry, because I have the phone for about 4 days and this happened.
I also having same problems with my Xperia T it doesnt connect to my pc nor it does charge or start up plus the red light stopped blinking!
I'm having this issue as well. I've tried doing a repair/update and still my phone won't turn on. I'm very disappointed by this.
Hi guys, just I would share this that a junior member posted over on XDA which worked for me.
My phone would power down after indicating that there was still 10% battery charge. Then it wouldn't switch on again. No charger would bring it back on again.
I lost the orignal Quick Charger and find that any other charger is hardly powerful enough to charge the phone while the screen is on. I've ordered a new one.
Do exactly as what has been posted below. You will find it easier to get an elastic band to hold the power button down rather than strain your thumb.
After a few mins the Sony and Xperia logos appeared.
Then after about five mins it booted up to the lock screen and this is when I let go of the power button. It is now charging slowly but surely. In order to prevent this happening again I won't be letting the battery fall below 20%, just to be on the safe side.
Hopefully this issue wll be fixed in the next update that we get. Good luck!
I had exactly the same problem. I got mine on 3rd Oct, and after about 7 days of use, I discharged the battery to 0% and it automatically turned off. Since then it refused to charge when power off, and as I have 0% battery, it cannot be turned on, making the phone totally unusable!

Hi everyone,
i have same problem,
phone was unable to start up for hours. Same symptoms: red light -> sony logo -> empty battery logo.
I have tried all above suggested options, no luck. I was pluging it in and uot of mains many times and then phone started up. I managed to back up content of internal storage and run repair through my Mac Sony Bridge soft. I found on internet that new firmware 7.0.A.3.223 cures this problem and also Walkman distortion glitch too (Walkman issue fix confirmed, please see this http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/362646#362646 )
To Sony team:
How to get this update if Sony says that Latest available software: 7.0.A.3.195 (Link: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-t/) ????????????????????
Also please see reports on new sofware - new glitches here: http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/380276#380276
Is it that troublesome as reported?
Sony please answer!!!!
With regards,
Xperia loyal user
Hi,
I bought my phone on Saturday, battery went flat yesterday, now it has a green led light and it will not power up. I left it charging all night. Nothing.
To say im dissapointed is an understament. I have had it for two days! It took me a while to decide what phone to go for after my HTC, I know newest HTCs have had problems so i thought ill change to Sony. Not sure if it was the right decision now. I am visiting the shop tonight to see what they say. Will post again....
I will also try AlwynM and slav_k . If anyone has an update on this issue, Please!
Thanks
Hi Gielen,
just before you take it to the shop you might need to back all data from your phone. In order to do this try to start it up. I have tryied many different ways and only one that worked for me was plugging it in and out from the mains while usb cable stayed connected to the phone. I cant explain why, it's really beyond my understanding, but phone went into charging mode (sony logo first and then battery sign with lightning sign on top), once you get it give it 20 min to gain enough power to startup and switch phone on. Probably best option would be to backup your phone to memory card with Backup&Restore Utility.
P.S. I also did indepth research on what phone shall I get and because HTC One X+ wasn't out I went for Xperia T and absolutely loved it. Its pity I had to send it off to be repaired after 3 month.
Hope you it helps
Best wishes
Hi slav_k,
can I please ask where you getting your T repaired. I too have one and have experienced the same issue, dead handset, no light etc.
Have you sent to Sony or a phone fix shop?
many thanks
stuart
Hi Stuart,
I have sent my one off to Three H3G repair center as it was on warranty and purchased from 3 UK.
Where did you buy yours one?
