Xperia T not charging and wont switch on.

I know there has been a million other threads on this subject but I've got a very slight difference, and hopefully someone can suggest a cure.

Phone is a year old. Works fine, last night when I plugged in to charge, it didnt charge, so i woked up with 2% batter. It is now dead. and it wont restart. when I press the powerbutton the red light flashes twice but then nothing. If I hold the power and up volume toghether it flashes aload more times, but again the phone doesnt respond. I have tried the trick of taping the power button down then plugging in the charger. This is where its slightly different.  This time it vibrates once, then brings up the SONY screen, then it cuts off. It repeats this 3 or 4 times then just stops doing it. Then if I keep it all connected, it'll repeat this same thing every 5minutes or so.

Any suggestion as to what its trying to do? Or is it the end for the phone?  the charger works fine btw, got another sony phone and it charges that no bother.  My phone also wont connect to my pc.

You phone won't connect to a Pc if it can't switch on

try removing the sim and sd card and then boot your device and if that doesn't help then simply leave it on charge for a good few hours and if it still fails then consider performing a system repair

This will factory reset your phone

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)

Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Unfortunately its not even getting picked up by the PC. Perhaps this is an actual physical fault and the other problems with charging are just a red herring....

i have just had this problem with mine i gave it to a phone repair shop and they said it is the battery connectors they just need taking out and plugging back in so unfortunatly means pulling the back of the phone off

Would not charge if run down to 0%.

Bought a new battery still same problem.

Sony said install an update that erases the phone - **bleep** It has no battery power.

Fixed it by holding down power and vol up with 2 hairbands and plugged in the USB charger.

After about 3min the red light flashed. I disconnected and reconnected the power (but I think I ddi not need to do this)

After another 5 min it buzzed and started up so I took off the bands and let it charge.

Seems all right now.
