Xperia SP switching off randomly

Hi all,

I have updated my Xperia SP to the latest 12.1.A.1.205 firmware. There were some issues that got fixed liked the freezing issue, Screen flickering and overheating as I observed. The latest firmware as I have read from reviews and forums appears to be the most stable.

However there's an issue which is been there for a few months now and I was expecting a firmware update would fix it which didn't happen yet. Issue: Screen goes dim and the colors start bleeding down and phone restarts. This is random that I can't replicate it doing anything to show it at the Service center. I believe otherwise they will just wipe off the phone and give it to be after doing factory reset. I would like to know if any of the users faced this issue and how they got it fixed. If not I would like to have some inputs on how to get this addressed.

Hi. U may try to connect a laptop n it will automatically lead u to download update software. Then just follow instruction, after update, ur handset will work perfectly. I hv same problem as your, but now, sp work well.

Thanks for responding. I have updated to the latest firmware but this issue is still not fixed. The screen goes off after the light dimming and color bleeding then the phone resarts on it's own. I'm still not able to confirm if this is a software error or a hardware error.

If it happens after full factory reset(erased all data) it look like hardware failure.
Nb. Non rooted device.
