Xperia SP Display Problem!

All SP owners please check this in your phone as well.

I'm having problems with my sp's display when the phone is kept on horizontal surface.

In the video,  phone is kept on the bed and i'm trying to use it. But you can see  the screen just misses the touch 😕 I wonder why.

This only happens when the phone is kept horizontally.

Ps: screen guard is not the problem since I checked with 2 different guards and phone works perfectly in hands.

PS2 > The screen works fine while phone is put to charging.

I TOO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. SONY THIS WAS MY FIRST SONY MOBILE AND I AM VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTED. KINDLY CLEAR THIS ISSUE.

I'm also facing the same problem with my Xperia SP. It just doesn't recognize the touch when kept on the bed or table. I request a fix from Sony as soon as possible.

do you really thing that's a software issue and that Sony can fix it with any update???

I'm also facing the same touch problem, but I don't think it's a software problem. I think that could be hardware problem and only solution is complaints to the seller.

I wish I was wrong.

I've no clue whether it is a software glitch or hardware issue but today morning I had a tough time turning the alarm OFF. Since I have set a PIN for unlocking the screen, I just could not enter the PIN to unlock the screen and turn the alarm OFF as the touch was not responding properly. Any help would be appreciated.

it's not just sony. there are other phones with similar problem. unfortunately i couldn't find a  solution.

Enabling Glove mode doesn't solves the problem.

will suggest you all to go and get the device checked from the service center. Backup all your data first. Backup Application is Pre-installed.

Screen works fine when another finger is touching the body's metal body.

i'm waiting for an official update. if problem is not solved then i'll go to the service center.

I was a die hard sony fan. i would buy sony tv, sony vaio laptop, sony home theatre and sony xperia phones. Starting a get frustrated with Sony. not talking about the tv, laptops and home theatres, I will restrict to Xperia phones. I got Xperia Neo L last year and found around 300 mb usable space and was hurt but since it was my fault I lived an year with it.

Now, I have got Xperia SP and i got it on 6 EMI's; I havent yet paid first EMI and it has this display problem. I has worked fine for almost 2 weeks but today, I have to open the back panel and Press Off twice to get it up again. However my issue is not specific to charging or not charging; it just gets stuck randomly. The screen doesnt respond at all.

If the problem is not fixed, this would be last Sony product in my home.

I am facing the same problem, but my problem starts only when I connect my phone to my laptop. not otherwise. Anybody else face the same ?

This have now been investigated and if you experience this problem I advice you to contact your local support team to have your phone calibrated at a repair center.
