Xperia SP 12.1.A.1.201 unbelievably slow now... Help!!!

Since updating software to version 12.1.A.1.201 on Friday 11th April 2014 my 4 month old Xperia SP is now practically unusable.
It is so ridiculously slow...
Cannot use contacts
Cannot answer calls... Screen stays blank, and caller quits before I can see who it is
Cannot enter messages .. Just freezes
Continuous messages... This app appears to not be responding, wait or close
Battery drain is terrible. Using power management stamina mode I could get 36-48hrs battery life. Now, I am having to charge every 6hrs.
This is a terrible, untested, software update.
So how to resolve???
I have done two factory resets... Which did not resolve anything.
The software is not settling down...

I need help, from an SONY employee, in plain English (not a lot a techie babble or loads of irrelevant suggestions that litter these forums.), so that I can rectify this problem and be able to use my 4month old phone again.

Had my phone 3 weeks! Took out a 24 month contract on 24th March, updated it on Sunday and now I can't use it. Ridicuolous and needs sorting asap

try software repair via SUS

So, I did the SUS ... Downloaded... Couldn't get the software to recognise what was installed on my phone.. 5 failed attempts. Restarted PC and gave it another go, and it worked.
Phone software reinstalled and fantastic ... Now everything works as it did before, and the speed is back.
Some glitches though:
No longer have light effects operating on phone.
Continuous messages ... Various program's not responding... Wait or close

Any suggestions regarding these two?

i updated last night, had a nightmare of a time since, ive even resorted to calling my service provider to ask for help.

i was advised to do a master reset, tried that; it says it will take five mins to reset, mine took over an hour!

phone may as  well be a brick at the minute as it is completely unusable. every app takes about 40 seconds to actually open, if it doesnt crash beforehand.

its not just this update either, ive noticed since the last one my phone starting to lag a little, and battery barely lasting till lunch.

i wonder if this has been a leaf from the apple book of upgrading? (load all handsets beyond capability so the latest models look superfast in comparison and we spend more money!!)

not a happy bunny here, phone is a heartbeat from being returned to sony uk, probably via the brick and window technique

Now this is ridiculous. After completing a SUS.. And giving my phone a few days to settle... It is now the same as before:
Terribly slow
Screen freezes
Apps fail to open or freeze
Screen stays black / blank when receiving incoming calls.
Contacts won't load quickly
Messaging is so slow...to read or create
Battery drain is bad.

No help received AT all from anyone in SONY... Which means they don't care about their customers or products.

So now I have a phone that doesn't work, as it should. What to do next? Where to go? Can anyone help??

do not upgrade to 4.3. 

the only solution is downgrading the phone to 4.1.2. i know, its a pain in the a$$ but you will love your phone again.

hi. I've had the same problems as the other guys in the topic.

Foolishly, I didn't backup my phone before updating. Is there any other way to go back the the previous setting. 4.1.2?

DO the update again with SUS.  Than  do not update chrome, It should be ok. When You will not be happy with that, use FLASHTOOL and put in the 4.1.2.

 My phone is on 4.1.2 because of the micro lags every second, that is a baad one
