it will be just the way it appears to you i would have thought, remove the shatter proof sheet and the screen and buttons are a joy to use.

So thats a tough trade-off as shatter proof sheet surely would be of importance thats why Sony kept it.

I had put another screen protector, so i removed the protector from the button side, the performance has increased. Shatter Proof protector is still on.

How many other phone manufacturers use one? All mine did was get covered in scratches and make the phone look pants.

I have never used a screen protector and i am not using the shatter proof sheet.

you must be a careful user, i have rough use and mostly phone gets rubbed by keys in pants or rough use by kids, surely protector reduces sensitivity but i guess protects from scratches as so called scratch proof glass is a myth as I had used Galaxy S without protector and it caught scrathes

Still I have no clue why Sony put shatter proof coating? means the glass is not strong enough and if broken the glass particles will come out in open? which can harm

It is there to stop the glass from shattering if it is dropped in such a away as to break it, it will not prevent it from breaking but it will prevent you from having to pick up all the pieces.
