Xperia s update issue

Hi there,

As many of you have experienced problems so have I but none of the solutions worked with my phone.

Here's the problem, when i try to update my phone, either with pc companion or SUS, it get's stuck on the preparation tab, when i follow the instructions on the screen by holding the down volume button and connecting the cable, nothing happens.

I've tried everything, downloading new drivers, shutting of firewall and anti-virus, nothing works.

Does anyone have new insights on how to fix this problem? I've read a lot on this forum but haven't found a working solution yet

What operating system are you running - If it's Win7 64bit or Win8 as far as i'm aware there is a driver issue when in Flashmode or entering Flashmode

It's win7 64bit, is there no solution??

Aren't there many users that have these issues and haven't found a solution yet

I suggest that you try to connect to different USB ports on your PC. If you connect to an USB 3 port (blue port), try to connect to an USB 2 (black) port instead. 

If the problem persists I suggest that you try with another USB cable and if that doesn't work either you should try on a different PC.
