Xperia S stops responding while updating

Today I've found that Xperia S have system update. Phone told me that i need to connect it to PC in order to install update. So I connect it, it suggested me to install PC Companion, and I installed it. Right after installation PC Companion informed me about update and proposed to install it. Battery has been charged for 83%. And I started updating. It made reserve copy. Showed me screen with (Web PC Phone) picture. Downloaded something from web to PC, then uploaded something from PC to phone, and showed me new screen with instructions, which said:

1) Disconnect usb cabel from both Phone and PC. (And I disconnected)

2) Make sure that battery is charged (I already have done it).

3) Turn off your phone (I've found that my phone already was turned off, kind of weird I thought)

4) Connect usb to computer (I connected).

5) Connect it to phone while holding Volume down button (I've tried, but it phone didn't respond).

So I've tried it several times, and nothing happened. I've tried to turn it on - nothing. I've tried to connect it to charger - it didn't even turn his light on as usual. When I've tried to connect it to pc, it didn't see it, and PC Companion didn't. It seems completely dead.

Please answer me ASAP, what I need to do? I haven't another phone with micro SIM, and I'm pretty sure that I missing an important calls right now. I'm also very disappointed about this. I for sure could buy HTC X One, Galaxy Nexus or even IPhone but I choosed Xperia and It let my down so hard.

Thank you for trying to help me. Unfortunately it didn't work. It also tells me to connect usb to phone while holding volume down button, and when I do it nothing really happening.

press and hold the volume down button before you connect the USB cable, also turn off your firewall and/or antivirus

if that doesn't work -> restart your PC -> press F8 -> safe mode -> run SUS/PCC and try again

Off course I press volume down button before connect the USB cable.

I don't have any firewall or Antivirus. My os is windows 7. Windows Firewall service is turned off.

Just in case I've tried safemode it didn't work either.

Intresting, when I login sonymobile website (after restart), it requests username/password. I was sure that username is my forum's Nickname, but it was email. I've spend additional 15 minutes trying to understand why it didn't let me in.

Also I found that some users have this problem and solve it by extracting the battery, but I haven't asterisk screw driver...

I've solved this problem. Everything I was need to do is to press turn on button (and hold it), while holding both volume up and down.

I don't think you had to press all those buttons, what I'm thinking is that maybe you weren't pressing strong enough the Volume Down Dizzy_Face But I'm glad it's working now

I understand, it sounds weird, but it's true. I definitly pressed Volume Down strong enough, and even tried to hold it for a few minutes - nothing. I've tried turn on button and it doesn't work. What I need is force reset my phone. But in this model I haven't direct access to battery. So I brought my phone to the saler, and he showed me this combination.
