I'm finally able to update my phone software from 6.0.A.3.67 to .71 or whatever the latest software is, which is apparently supposed to take about 30 minutes, but I've now given up for the second time after having my phone plugged into my netbook for 8 hours! The first time I tried it was plugged in for about 3 1/2 hours, both times it just gets stuck on the 'prepare' bit, the status bar gets to the end, but just sits there. What can I do to get this update? Thanks.

if you don't want to wait until it's available in your network/country
1st backup your current firmware
then
2nd manually update

once it's available you can flash back to your original firmware and use PCC or SUS to update to ICS
